The $2 trillion CARES Act included a $600 boost in weekly unemployment insurance through July. This has been the most effective legislative action to counter the economic shock of the coronavirus.
Together, we must demand Congress extend this increased level of jobless benefits.
The more money we can put in the hands of working people and families that are struggling to pay the bills, the better off our economy will be. Every dollar spent on unemployment insurance is keeping families out of poverty while providing a boost to our ailing economy.
